DIVISION I (Club Service - Programs)
Mission Statement: To provide educational, thought-provoking, inspirational
and entertaining meetings for the membership
Goal: To solicit response from specific members on a timely basis
to evaluate weekly programs
Objective: Evaluate member response and report results to RCA Board
DIVISION II (Club Service - Administration)
Mission Statement: To deliver fast, accurate communication of financial and member
services information in support of other goals of the Club; to arrange for
proper and timely preparation of financial statements and annual review
of those statements; and to provide oversight of and assistance to Club
administration
Goals: 1) To provide and continually update communications strategies, using
technology to enhance and improve internal and external communications economically and efficiently
2) To continue to promote public relations efforts which provide both
internal and external marketing and awareness of RCA and RI
3) To provide for and to review periodically administrative procedures that strengthen Club structures and enable Club goals
Objectives: 1) Publish a quality Club Directory that:
a. is available in convenient formats, including Web format,
accessible by all members, and which can be updated on a regular
basis on the RCA website
b. provides opportunities for member marketing through sponsorship
of Directory tabs and by direct links to members from the RCA website
2) Garner and implement as appropriate creative ideas for Club and member advertising and to arrange for press releases as appropriate
3) Update the Club website on a continuing basis
4) Continue the process of improving readership of the Round Table
5) Review annually, before the budget cycle begins, advertising fees so that those are available for the budgeting process.
6) Establish a process for and to conduct timely reviews of RCA financial statements, including timely dissemination to the Finance and Audit Committee as well as the Club Treasurer
7) Assist Club administration with updating administrative policies and procedures, as needed
DIVISION III (Vocational Service)
Mission Statement: To serve our community by assisting our young people in growing into mature, productive and generous members of the community exhibiting Service Above Self, and to recognize businesses exemplifying Rotary values
Goals: 1) To provide a variety of programs that will appeal to many different
ages to encourage our youth to stay in school, to further their
education, and to assist others in community service
2) To develop a plan to establish Interact/Rotaract Clubs in schools
Objectives: 1) Increase awareness and support for RYLA, Student of the Month,
Focus on the Future, Interact, Rotaract, and Club Vocational
Programs.
2) Submit Interact/Rotaract Plan to RCA Board
DIVISION IV (Membership Development & Retention)
Mission Statement: To actively encourage and assist the general membership to recruit high
quality potential members and focus on retaining existing members.
Goals: 1) To fully implement, evaluate, and continue to enhance the University
of Rotary program
2) To hold a New Member Social event following graduation of each University of Rotary class, to include new members, sponsors and spouses
3) To increase membership by a net of 10 members by July 2010
4) To conduct an annual membership survey to determine levels of satisfaction with Rotary programs and activities and solicit ideas for possible changes
5) To increase the retention rate of members by 30%
6) To broaden the spectrum of cultural diversity in the Rotary Club of Albuquerque
7) To review and modify if necessary, the committee structure within Division IV to ensure efficiency and eliminate duplication
Objectives:
1) Establish a clear administrative structure for the implementation of the University of Rotary
2) Review the curriculum and presentation materials of U of R, one month prior to each new class.
3) Establish a consistent format for membership surveys and ensure a complete and well documented analysis same
4) Establish an efficient and effective method of communicating survey results to the total membership
5) Review effectiveness of the Mentor Program and methods used by other clubs for member retention; implement a specific program for member retention based on this review
6) Conduct quarterly meetings with all committee chairs in order to increase effective communication within the Division
7) Submit regular reports to the Board of Directors
DIVISION V (Community Service)
Mission Statement: To continue and improve RCA's service activities in our community, with primary support to identified annual fundraiser recipient
Goals (Short Term):
1) To establish a planned program of monthly community service projects leading up to the MLK National Day of Service and for the balance of the Rotary fiscal year
2) To continue blood drive program
3) To increase literacy programs
4) To recruit volunteers for Meals on Wheels and Salvation Army Project
5) To complete and submit District Simplified Grant application
6) To continue Seed Festival Program
Objectives (corresponding):
1) Report participation and activity summary to the RCA Board on a bi-monthly basis
2) Hold a blood drive every other month
3) Hold Essay contest, In School Room Library Program, plus one new literacy program
4) Report results to RCA Board
5) Report results to RCA Board
6) Report results to RCA Board
Goal (Long Term): To develop co-chairs for all committees to assure continuity

DIVISION VI (International Service)
Mission Statement: To be the vehicle for the RCA to build international goodwill
Goals: 1) To promote inter-club and inter-district participation in service
projects
2) To educate the RCA about our actions and opportunities for humanitarian service, locally and internationally
3) To promote participation in the various exchange opportunities of The Rotary Foundation
4) To increase ISC member participation in EREY to 100%
Objectives: 1) Matching Grant projects
a. Create at least one local New Mexico Matching Grant
project
b. Participate in at least five new Matching Grant projects
c. Hold an ISC activity at local Matching Grant project site
2) Service education
a. Respond to emergent humanitarian needs
b. Publicize ISC projects and potential projects to RCA
3) Exchange opportunities
a. Publicize opportunities for Youth Exchange host families/potential outgoing students.
b. Screen candidates for RI Ambassadorial Scholarships and submit to District.
c. Coordinate with District GSE Committee for inbound/outbound exchange opportunities
4) EREY: Report results to RCA Board
DIVISION VII (Special Events)
Mission Statement: To design and execute dynamic fundraising events creating a high community impact for the RCA; to develop and execute special events as directed by the Board of Directors
Goals: 1) To evaluate the Spring Fling event and the Golf Tournament
2) To implement the Development/Use Plan for Rotary Memorial Park
3) To evaluate the possibility of combining the Wine Auction with the Spring Fling
4) To develop a process to capture the true fundraising costs of RCA’s events
Objectives: 1) Report the true costs of fundraising to the Board by 09/30/09
2) Classify our events into two categories: Fundraisers or Fun Raisers
ALBUQUERQUE ROTARY CHARITABLE FOUNDATION (ARCF)
Mission Statement: To solicit and receive funds to grow and manage a perpetual endowment to support charitable programs selected by the Rotary Club of Albuquerque
Goals: 1) To increase the ARCF corpus through contributions and donations
2) To increase funding of local charitable projects
Objectives:
1) Fund growth
a. Increase Guardian Society membership by 5%.
b. Educate membership about Planned Giving
c. Encourage every member to become a Clinton P. Anderson Fellow
2) Contribute excess earnings from ARCF corpus to charitable projects
